A Beating Heart

Today was the doctor's visit and it went phenomenally! I'll cut to the good part and report that Tyler and I saw our kid and the heart beating. We even got to hear it. My uterus is the size of an avocado (yum) and the kid measured 9 weeks long exactly, making the due date July 20th. (Only four days before Ty takes the Colorado bar exam...how's that for timing??)

I am very relieved and feeling a bit more confident that this is really going to happen.  There was a cute 1 month old baby in the waiting room, and in about 9 more months, we'll have one of those too. How exciting!!

Now the fun of spreading the word.

Down with the Sickness

Let's talk about nausea. Not so much morning sickness, but more like 11AM-on sickness. And not vomiting, just a dry heave or two (per hour).

Also, let's talk about constipation. Wonderful. Radical. Constipation.

Oh and not to forget fatigue. No energy, absolutley none.

And large, swollen, tender boobs. Pretty cool.

About a week and a half of consistant sickness. Ty and I have referred to this child as Asshole Voss, sucking the life out of me. But I jest. If this is the way that I know there's a developing person in me, then I am grateful for each moment of being uncomfortable.

First doctor's appointment in 10 days. Hope to see AV then.
